One of the most outstanding elements of GoodWe’s presence at Intersolar this year was the introduction of a product that embodies the company’s ambitious future vision: the SEMS Home/Industry monitoring system (Smart Energy Monitoring System). This system plays a crucial role as a data hub, collecting and analyzing electrical consumption data from consumers and suppliers for the benefit of both end-users and utility companies. SEMS Home can command the system to generate solar power in the morning and use it during peak price time or use off-peak electricity to charge batteries and EVs then sell at peak-time to prosumers. Another of the advantages of SEMS is that it makes it easier for suppliers to design products catering to specific consumer requirements. In taking consumer data as a reference for understanding user behavior, SEMS is also a valuable tool for planning power plant construction size or designing pricing policies.
At Intersolar, GoodWe presented another hit product for 2019 - the streamlined all-in-one ESA series, which is perfect for application with SEMS Home/Industry. The ESA Smart Hybrid System is a modular system which integrates the inverter, battery charger, UPS and battery enclosure into a pre-wired modular system for easier and faster installation. The compact, elegantly designed and robust unit is IP65 rated so it can be mounted either inside or outside, withstanding all weather conditions. This modular system offers expandable battery storage, entirely adaptable to the quality requirements of a diversified group of users. We’ve also developed software for this inverter that manages the energy in a intelligent way in order to maximize daily savings.
Another highlight of this year’s participation at Intersolar was the exhibiting of the internationally praised Commercial and Industrial MT series, which has been expanded to 80kW. This inverter adopts leading topology and innovative inverter controller technology which contributes to a maximum efficiency of up to 99% and a European efficiency up to 98.5%. Electricity from the PV modules is converted with a decreased loss, greatly increasing power generation capabilities and helping users to achieve a higher return on investments. The 80KW MT features 50% DC oversizing, a maximum DC input of 120kW, allowing the connection of more PV modules. The MT also supports 10% AC overloading, which increases power generation by up to 10% and helps the user achieve higher returns. Furthermore, the inverters can withstand a wide range of temperatures, from -30℃ to 60℃, and operate at 4000 meters above sea level.
In center stage was GoodWe’s presentation of a large number of different products, as well as the introduction and debut in the market of eight different products and solutions. This was a powerful show of strength from a company that has been characterized by its orientation towards the development of innovative products and technologies. The new products presented included our new storage inverters, such as the EH series, the three-phase high voltage energy storage inverter and the AC-coupled retrofit. GoodWe also introduced its BT series and the XS series mini inverter designed for residential use, which is the size of an A4 piece of paper.
Despite the flurry of business, Goodwe did not neglect festivities at this edition of Intersolar Europe; we welcomed our VIP partners to a Gala Dinner to celebrate the achievements of the past year and to provide an opportunity to discuss the challenges of the year ahead. We were honored by the attendance of renowned veterans of the industry, such as Professor Eicke R. Weber, Vice President of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) and Former Director at Fraunhofer ISE, as well as Mr. Paddy Padmanathan, President & CEO at ACWA Power. This was a memorable reception that befitted GoodWe’s successful growth in the international market.
