GoodWe, A Protagonist of Intersolar Europe 2019
2019-05-17 09:55:52

GoodWe shone this week in Munich, concluding an extraordinarily busy week of brilliant participation at Intersolar Europe 2019. Offering a global platform to meet customers from all over the world, there is no company in the solar industry that sees this exhibition as a simple commercial fair. For GoodWe, this year’s edition offered the perfect opportunity to showcase the expansion and ascendance of the company. With a spectacular booth of 320m2 located at the epicenter of the action, GoodWe’s attendance to the most important event of the solar industry has been its most ambitious up to date and it is likely to be remembered.

One of the most outstanding elements of this year’s participation of GoodWe at Intersolar was the introduction of a product that synthetizes the vision of the company about the future: the SEMS Home/Industry monitoring system (Smart Energy Monitoring System). This system plays a crucial role as data hub, collecting and analyzing the electrical consumption data from consumers and suppliers for the benefit of both end users and utility companies. SEMS Home is able to command the system to generate solar power in the morning and use it during the peak price time or use off-peak electricity to charge batteries and EV and then sell at peak-time to prosumers. Another of the advantages of SEMS is that it makes easier for suppliers to design products catering to specific consumer requirements.  By taking the consumers data as a reference to understand users behavior, SEMS is also a valuable tool for designing plan power plant construction size or implementing pricing policies.

At Intersolar, GoodWe presented another hit product for 2019 -- the streamlined all-in-one ESA series, which is perfect to be applied in conjunction with SEMS Home/Industry. The ESA Smart Hybrid System is a modular system which integrates the inverter, battery charger, UPS and battery enclosure into a pre-wired modular system for easier and faster installation. The compact, elegantly designed and robust unit is IP65 rated so it can be mounted either inside or outside withstanding all weather conditions. This modular system offers an expandable battery storage, entirely adaptable to meet the quality requirements of a diversified group of users. For this inverter, we’ve also developed software that manages the energy in a smart way in order to maximize daily savings.

Another highlight of this year’s participation at Intersolar was the exhibition of the internationally praised Commercial and Industrial MT series, which has been expanded to 80kW. This inverter adopts a leading topology and an innovative inverter controller technology which contributes to maximum efficiency of up to 99% and a European efficiency to 98.5%. Electricity from the PV modules is converted with a decreased loss, greatly increasing power generation capabilities and helping users to achieve a higher return on investments. The 80KW MT features 50% DC oversizing, a maximum DC input of 120kW, allowing the connection of more PV modules. The MT also supports 10% AC overloading, increasing power generation by up to 10% and helping the user achieve higher returns. Furthermore, they can withstand a wide range of temperatures from -30℃ to 60℃ and operate at 4000 meters above sea level.

Center stage was the presentation of GoodWe of a large number of different products as well as the introduction and debut in the market of 8 different products and solutions. This was a quite powerful show of strength of a company that has been characterized for its orientation toward the development of innovative products and technologies. Some of the new products presented included our new storage inverters, such as the EH series, the three-phase high voltage energy storage inverter and the AC-coupled retrofit. GoodWe introduced as well its BT series and the mini inverter for residential use of the series XS, which has the size of an A4 paper.

A festive element could not be absent from the company’s participation at this edition of Intersolar Europe and it was in this vein that we invited our VIP partners to a Gala Dinner aimed at celebrating the achievements of the past year and providing the opportunity for discussing the challenges of the year ahead. Our event was honored with the attendance of renowned veterans of the industry, such as Professor Eicke R. Weber, Vice President of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) and Former Director at Fraunhofer ISE as well as Mr. Paddy Padmanathan, President & CEO at ACWA Power. This was a memorable reception that bear witness to GoodWe’s successful growth in the international market.
